so my friends want to cosplay Gurren Lagann and i think i want to cosplay Viral. i already have the yellow eye and shark teeth. the wig should be easy and the rest of the clothes and his cleaver should be doable. im just not sure about the hands. some people buy monster gloves, some do nothing, and some cast their own gloves. i know if i put myself to it i can cast the gloves, and that will probably turn out the best results. but im not sure if i want to spend the time and effort of if i just want to buy monster gloves or use some paint. i was also thinking that i might be able to go halfway. if i start with some well fitting latex gloves maybe i can paint on latex or rest my gloved hand in an upper mold for the top of the hands. that way the glove is already done, and i don't have to try and cast a 360 mold of a glove and expect it to fit. i don't plan on having it ready untill otakon. but once i start thinking about a costume its hard to stop.
